Ed Levin was a true Renaissance man—an artist, jeweler, painter, sculptor, ceramist, and an inventor of tools and techniques that pushed the boundaries of jewelry design. He founded Ed Levin Jewelry in 1950, crafting his earliest pieces on the stovetop of his New York City apartment.

Now known as EL Designs, the company he started has become a pioneer in the American craft-jewelry movement. Based in Cambridge, NY, it is the oldest and largest hand-crafted jewelry manufacturer in the United States—still honoring Ed’s legacy of innovation, elegance, and artistry.
